There has been problems on the server side with the mysql server going down.. So if you can read this then you might have just gotten lucky..

hopefully everything will go back to normal soon.

they had to update the server software.
this is what they told me

There was an urgent cPanel update to fix an unrelated issue affecting numerous clients, and MySQL was inadvertently updated in the process causing ~15 minutes of downtime while the software was recompiled.

Everything should be back to normal now, and we sincerely apologize for this inconvenience.
